Nanny Rocker

“Necessity is the mother of invention” was the by-word for this windsor. Mom (or the nanny) needed a way to rock the baby while having her hands free to perform other household chores like knitting. This unique windsor began to appear in the first decade of the 1800s and was an adaptation of a settee and a rocker.
