Spoon-foot Hall Table

This plain hall table is made from walnut. The two distinctive features of the table are the breadboard ends of the top and the turned spoon-foot legs. The lengthwise running top boards are tenoned at their ends and are captured in mortised boards running crosswise. This prevents the boards from cupping and is a distinctive presentation of wood running to opposite directions performing a structural function. The spoon-foot legs are turned on two different centers which gives the piece a unique appearance. The table measures 30 x 40 x 20.
