Customers have complete flexibility when choosing chair styles and variations: please see my catalog and design pages for some options. I will handcraft exact antique copies, work from book references or photos, or produce my own interpretations to suit a customer’s needs. Each chair comes branded with Liberty Chair Works, which will add to its value over time. The finished Windsor chair is truly a functional work of art, built to last many years and destined to become a cherished heirloom. A 50% non-refundable deposit is due upon placing your order. Orders with non-standard design changes, such as changes to the seat height, width and/or depth, require a non-refundable deposit of 100%. You may pay by personal check through the mail. Upon receipt of your deposit, your furniture will be scheduled for construction and you will be informed of an estimated completion date. Depending on the time of the year and workload, this may be between 13 and 26 weeks. Remember, I work alone and fine craftsmanship is something that cannot be rushed. You will be contacted approximately 10 days before shipping. Any remaining balance must be paid before the order will be shipped. The crating fee is about 18% of the total price of your order. This includes packaging and a custom-sized, double-walled box.

There are three possible shipping methods.

1. Customer pick-up – You may pick-up your piece at my shop in North East, Maryland. Orders picked-up at the shop are subject to 6% sales tax.

2. Delivery to customer by me – This service is available to customers within a 2-3 hour drive of North East, Maryland. Please call for a delivery quote.

3. Commercial Delivery/Moving Service – This is often an economical and reliable method for shipping long distances. All shipments are packed with utmost care and insured for the total cost of the piece of furniture. Chairs can be sent either freight prepaid or freight collect.
